- Buscopan 10 mg (Hyoscine-N-butylbromide) is a sugar-coated tablet antispasmodic drug used for gastrointestinal tract spasm, spasm and dyskinesia of the biliary system and genitourinary tract spasm. Buscopan use should not be taken on a continuous daily basis without proper investigation on what causes the abdominal pain. Buscopan stomach pain
- Dosage and administration : Adults and children over 6 years: 1-2 sugar coated tablets, 3-5 times daily. The tablets should be swallowed whole with adequate fluid. Buscopan use is contraindicated in patients with: Hypersensitivity. Myasthenia gravis, Mechanical stenosis in GIT Paralytical or obstructive ileus Megacolon Untreated narrow-angle glaucoma Prostate hypertrophy w/ urinary retention Tachycardia Special
- Precautions: Seek professional help in case of persisting, worsening severe unexplained Buscopan stomach pain associated with symptoms of nausea, fever, changes in bowel, vomiting, decreased BP, blood in stool, and abdominal tenderness. Precautions in taking Buscopan 10 mg for pregnant women and lactating mothers should be observed.
