- Trajenta duo is an anti-diabetic medicine used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes in adults. The Linagliptin Metformin in the tablet works by improving your body's response to insulin (a hormone that helps to control blood sugar levels). It also decreases sugar production, thereby lowering your blood sugar levels. Trajenta duo is for adults with type 2 diabetes that can't be saved by diet and exercise anymore as it helps improve glycemic control.
- Dosage and accommodation for Trajenta duo 500 mg: The individualized dosage for Linagliptin Metformin is 5 mg daily unless the dosage is increased by a doctor.
- Warnings and precaution for Trajenta duo 500 mg: Do not give to patients allergic to Linagliptin. The tablet has side effects such as headache, change in taste, nausea, diarrhea and stomach pain. To counter the effects of Linagliptin, Always carry a sugar source (sweets or fruit juice) with you to counteract such effects. Also, eat your meals on time to avoid low blood sugar levels.
