- Glumet (Metformin Hydrochloride) 500 mg is an antihyperglycemic medicine used to control high blood sugar levels. It is the first preferred medicine effectively used in people with type II diabetes, which is a condition where your body cannot produce sufficient insulin or resists insulin. Glumet (Metformin Hydrochloride) 500 mg helps in insulin production, which in turn reduces the excess blood sugar levels in your body. Metformin glumet also helps in minimizing the risk of diabetes-associated complications such as blindness, kidney damage, stroke (decreased blood flow to your brain), and heart attack.
- Dosage and administration for Glumet 500 mg: For adults, take 500 mg of Metformin glumet a day. The dosage may be increased in increments of 500 mg weekly. Children between 10 to 16 years old can take 500 mg a day. Increase the dosage in increments of 500 mg weekly.
- Warnings and precautions for Glumet 500 mg: Swallow the table whole, do not crush and chew. Do not take on a empty stomach.
