Dulcolax Pediatric (Bisacodyl) 5 Suppositories
- Dulcolax (bisacodyl) is indicated for patients who suffer from constipation and for preparation of diagnostic procedures, also in pre- and post-operative treatment and in conditions that require defecation to be facilitated.
- Dulcolax pediatric dose and administration: Unless otherwise prescribed by a physician the following dosages are recommended Adult and children >10 years of age: 1 suppository daily. Children 4-10 years of age: 1 pediatric suppository (5mg) daily. Children <4 years of age: 1 pediatric suppository (5 mg) daily. Children under the age of 10 who are suffering from chronic or persistent constipation should only be treated under the guidance of a doctor.
- Dulcolax pediatric suppository has contraindications to: Intestinal Obstruction Hypersensitivity Severe dehydration Severe abdominal pain associated with nausea and vomiting Galactose and fructose intolerance Dulcolax 5 mg has precautions for people with: Shall not be taken continuous daily Electrolyte imbalance and hypokalaemia Dizziness Hematochezia Pregnancy Lactation. Dulcolax pediatric suppository is a non-prescription drug.
