Diane 35
- Diane 35 (Cyproterone Acetate/Ethinyl Estradiol) 2mg/35mcg (cyproterone + ethinylestradiol) is a hormonal contraceptive used as a treatment of moderate to severe acne related to androgen-sensitivity (with or without seborrhoea) and hirsutism in women. For acne treatment, Diane-35 should only be given when systemic antibiotic treatments and topical therapy have failed. Each tablet contains 35 mcg Ethinyl estradiol and 2 mg cyproterone acetate.
This pill can be also used as Diane birth control to prevent pregnancy in women who are taking it as a treatment for signs of a physical male characteristic. 1 tab starting on the first day of the menstrual flow for 21 days. Start with a new pack after 7 pill-free days. The patient can start any day as long as the patient is not pregnant and can continue taking the pill as long as the patient wants to avoid pregnancy. - Diane 35 (Cyproterone Acetate/Ethinyl Estradiol) 2mg/35mcg contains progestogen and an estrogen hormone. Since it also works as a contraceptive pill, it should not be used as a combination with another hormonal contraceptive.
