Ponstan SF 250mg 10 Capsules
- Ponstan SF (Mefenamic acid) is used as a symptomatic relief of rheumatoid arthritis, including Still's Disease, osteoarthritis and any pain including traumatic, muscular, headaches, joints pain, postoperative and postpartum pain. This medication is also used as ponstan sf for toothache or dental pain. Mefenamic acid Ponstan SF is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug for relieving pain and swelling.
- Dosage and administration of Ponstan SF 250 mg: Take 1-2 caps initially, then 1 cap 3 times a day. Should be taken after meals. Ponstan SF has contraindications to: patients with allergy to mefenamic acid, aspirin, or other NSAIDs. previous or active peptic ulcer liver or kidney disease heart disease hyperacidity history of asthma pregnant lactation
- Warnings and precautions in taking Ponstan SF continuously beyond 7 days unless advised by a physician. High doses of this medication increases the risk of bleeding and stomach irritation as side effects. In Lactation, trace amounts of Mefenamic acid Ponstan SF may be present in breastmilk and can be transmitted to the nursing infant. Hence, this medication should be taken by nursing mothers.
