- Dulcolax 5 mg is used to treat constipation. Dulcolax 5 mg is known as a stimulant laxative. Dulcolax 5 mg uses include cleaning out the intestines before a bowel examination or surgery. Dulcolax 5 mg uses also include increasing the movement of the intestines and helping the stool to come out with ease. Dulcolax 5 mg
- Dosage and administration: For adults and children above 10 years of age, take 1 to 2 tablets daily at night. For children between ages 4 to 10, take 1 tablet at night. If you need to prepare for diagnostic procedures, pre-op and post-op treatments and conditions that need defecation, take 2 to 4 tablets the night before and 1 adult supplement in the morning of the exam. For children ages 4 years old and above, take 1 tablet the night before and 1 supplement the following morning. Dulcolax 5 mg dosage
- Warnings and precautions: Should be taken on an empty stomach: Do not take within 1 hour of antacids, milk or other dairy products. Swallow whole with an adequate amount of fluid.
