RiteMed Glimepiride 1 Tablet
- Ritemed Glimepiride 2mg is a milder treatment for adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus whose hyperglycemia cannot be controlled by diet and exercise alone. Glimepiride 2mg is used as adjunct to proper dietary management, physical exercise and weight reduction to improve glycemic control in patients. It can also be used as monotherapy or in combination with metformin or insulin.
- Dosage and accommodation for Ritemed Glimepiride 2mg: The starting dose of Glimepiride 2mg is 1 mg a day with maximum starting dose of 2 mg daily. The maintenance is 4 mg daily with maximum 8 mg daily. After reaching the dose of 2mg, any increase in dosage should be in increments of 1 mg at 1 to 2 week intervals based on the patient's glucose response. Medication needs to be taken with food. Take it immediately before or during breakfast. Do not skip meals and do not take with an empty stomach.
