Jardiance (Empagliflozin) 1 Tablet
- Jardiance Empagliflozin is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes. Jardiance Empagliflozin 10 mg is also indicated to reduce the risk of cardiovascular death in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus and cardiovascular disease. Jardiance Empagliflozin is also indicated to reduce the risk of cardiovascular death plus hospitalization in adults with heart failure.
- Dosage and administration for Jardiance Empagliflozin: The minimum dosage of Jardiance Empagliflozin is 10 mg a day but can be increased up to 25 mg a day if needed. May be taken with or without food. Swallow whole with water.
- Warnings and precautions for Jardiance Empagliflozin: Not indicated for treatment of type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. Not recommended for use to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus with an eGFR <30 mL/min/1.73 m2.
- Jardiance Side Effects: May add to the diuretic effect of thiazide & loop diuretics & may increase risk of dehydration & hypotension. Jardiance side effects also include increased risk of hypoglycemia .
